This article highlights the relevance, scientific-pedagogical foundations, andpractical significance of implementing green chemistry principles in teaching chemistry in generalsecondary schools. The main objective of the study is to determine the effectiveness of environmentally safe, resource-efficient, and project-based educational activities in developing 359students’ research skills. The article analyzes models of “green” projects, including naturalindicators, bioplastic synthesis, and waste recycling, as well as their methodological aspects. Theresearch results demonstrate that this approach effectively promotes students’ ability to formulatescientific hypotheses, plan experiments, analyze results, and develop ecological thinking
