This article analyzes the significance of urban development projects within the framework of New Uzbekistan's reforms, aimed at improving living conditions and ensuring a dignified and comfortable standard of living both in the present and future. The paper reviews the regulatory legal acts governing the construction sector and emphasizes the importance of public participation in urban development projects. It highlights the negative impact of certain legal provisions being overlooked by responsible agencies, which affects citizens' involvement. The article also provides suggestions and recommendations to enhance public participation in urban planning discussions and implementation.
