Chickenpox, or, as they say, varicella, is an acute viral disease that occurs mainly at a young age and affects the skin. The pathogen belongs to a variety of herpesviruses and after penetration into the body remains in it for life. So, after the disease has passed, it is stored in nerve cells. The rise in the incidence of chickenpox occurs in the winter-spring period or the cool and dry months, and its large outbreaks occur every 2-5 years. VVO is highly contagious, and the indicators of secondary chickenpox infection range from 61-100%. This article discusses the etiology, epidemiology and prevention of chickenpox, which is a common infection in children. Classical and atypical clinical manifestations, as well as complications reported in patients with chickenpox at the present stage, are presented.
