The article analyzes the problem of children becoming victims of crime (victimization) in the framework of their protection from violence in general on the basis of the norms of national legislation and scientific literature. International and national statistics in this area are very disappointing, and therefore a number of measures have already been implemented to improve legislation, but they are insufficient. The digital society in which we live dictates new development trends in cyberspace, with which children are also in contact. In this regard, the victimization of children in cyberspace comes from such information threats as phishing, Internet bullying, cyberbullying, communication with strangers, Internet addiction and others. At the same time, further improvement of legislation should be based on innovative methods of formation of digital literacy of children and their parents as one of the ways to prevent child victimization in the framework of cybersecurity.
