Media competence, as an integral part of modern education, enhances students’ abilities to critically perceive, analyze, and effectively use information in communication. This article examines the role of media competence in the process of language learning in the context of globalization. The study discusses the role of media education in developing linguistic competence, as well as the influence of digital literacy and information technologies on language learning. The findings indicate that improving media competence increases learners’ motivation, promotes independent thinking, and strengthens their communicative skills.
