In this article, the author analyzed the role of mandatory community service in the criminal-legal punishment system and the theory of this science. The author engaged in a scientific discussion with leading scientists in the research work and proposed a number of his solutions for the use of the term compulsory community service in legislation and criminal-legal theory. The proposed scientific innovations have a positive effect on the improvement of legislation and theory.
