In this article, the author touches on the history of elections to the full (academic) and corresponding members of the Academy of Sciences. The elections of full (academic) and corresponding members of the Academy of Sciences in 1943-1989 and the composition of the academicians elected to them are covered based on archival sources. It specifies the number of full and corresponding members of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, elected in the period from its foundation in 1943 to 1989. Due to this aspect of the issue, the Academy of Sciences serves as the main material for the election of full and full corresponding members.
