The article, using data from scientific literature and archival documents, analyzes the state of irrigation and reclamation works in the Andijan region in the period 1941-1990. In addition, the studies substantiate the construction of irrigation structures in the region, the use of their sources in agriculture, and the size of irrigated areas, which are increasing every year due to the influence of the cotton monopoly.
