This article analyzes the state of irrigation and land reclamation works in the Andijan region during the period from 1941 to 1991, using data from scientific literature and archival documents. Furthermore, the study provides a rationale for the construction of irrigation structures in the region, their use in agriculture, and the expansion of irrigated areas, which grew annually due to the impact of the cotton monopoly.
