This article talks about the history of the parliament, in particular the stages of its emergence, development trends, the experience of foreign countries in this direction, as well as the role of parliament in ensuring national security. Indeed, the parliament plays an important role in supporting democratic traditions and the process of civil control, ensuring the smooth functioning of the institutional system of public administration. Along with this, the existing problems regarding ensuring national security and ways to solve them, as well as modern methods and mechanisms for ensuring national security in Uzbekistan are described.
