The article discusses the issues of interaction between the chambers of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and executive authority to ensure national security, in particular the creation of norms, mechanisms of the work of legal documents in practice, tasks related to the distribution of powers. Current problems in Uzbekistan and ways to solve them, as well as modern methods and mechanisms for ensuring national security are described in this direction. The practice and experience of conducting national security policy on the example of specific foreign countries is described. Methods used by the Parliament to obtain security information and data, namely parliamentary inquiry, parliamentary hearings and parliamentary oversight, and their compliance with international standards are described.
