Today one of focuses of Higher Education is on forming and developing non-linguistic university students’ communicative competence. It is important to hone this competence to meet the current market requirements and keep pace with world development. Therefore, the requirements for the level of non-linguistic university students’ preparedness to be successful in multifarious professional activities have undergone remarkable modifications. One of them is placing importance on one of the components of communicative competence – linguistic competence. Accordingly, it is highlighted to engage students with linguistic development-oriented activities, subsequently, incorporating professionally-oriented linguistic activities into the classroom to form students’ professionally-oriented linguistic competence. It is emphasized that linguistic competence development is critical to interact in the process of professional activities as it can guarantee proper explanation, comprehension, and clear and effective communication.
