In this article, the social trends of the cyber space factor, which is becoming established in modern society, its sphere of influence: local, regional, and global forms, the scientific research conducted in the advanced research centers of the world in this regard, and the practical results obtained from them are comparatively analyzed. The issue of “social threat” to the process of education and upbringing was considered.
