This article examines the distinctive features of the manaqib genre, the concept of the Perfect Human (al-insan al-kamil) in Sufi doctrine, and the spiritual ascent embodied in the notions of fana (annihilation) and baqa (subsistence) through the example of Alisher Navoi’s work “Holoti Sayyid Hasan Ardasher.” The portrayal of Sayyid Hasan Ardasher thoroughly explores the criteria, conditions, signs, and stages of fana, as well as the qualities and spiritual states (ahwal) of a salik (wayfarer) who has attained fana and baqa.
