The article describes the stages of formation and development of the system of internal affairs bodies, processes and further plans for their activities. It is known that internal affairs bodies are a system that carries out complex and multifaceted activities in order to ensure public order and security in society, protect the rights, freedoms, and legitimate interests of citizens, and prevent crimes. Statement of the problem is to reveal that in the history of Uzbek statehood, which has passed the path of development for almost three thousand years, there was a great need for a system of internal affairs to ensure the security of society, the peace, and tranquility of the country, the inviolability of borders, the will and freedom of the people, cultural development. Methods of the research are general, scientific, including logical, archival source study, analysis of the content of documents. Over the past short period of time, large-scale reforms have been implemented aimed at radically improving and updating the system of internal affairs bodies and their activities. Today, in the ranks of the internal affairs bodies, it is necessary to educate the most worthy employees who love our Motherland, are faithful to their duty and ensure a peaceful and peaceful life in our holy land.
