This article analyzes and studies the current state of road safety, the latest regulations in this area, the main factors in the commission of transport offenses and traffic accidents, as well as existing gaps in the legislation in this area. Existing problems and shortcomings in this direction are highlighted on the basis of the analysis of official statistical information. As the main reasons for the existing problems of law enforcement practice, legal gaps in the legislation are given, as well as proposals and recommendations aimed at eliminating them.
