Purpose: This article investigates the mechanisms by whichsustainable digital network development contributes to economic growth inUzbekistan, with particular focus on the relationship between telecommunications infrastructure, digital ecosystem maturity, and regionalvalue creation.Design/Methodology/Approach: A mixed-method approach was employed, combining quantitative analysis of macroeconomic and ICT indicators (2019–2023) with a structured review of national strategy documents and internationalbenchmarks. Regression modelling was used to estimate the elasticity of GDPwith respect to internet penetration and network investment.Findings: Results confirm a statistically significant positive relationship betweeninternet penetration and regional GDP per capita (R² = 0.78, p < 0.01). A 10percentage-point increase in broadband coverage is associated with anestimated 0.6 pp acceleration in annual GDP growth. Regional digital dividesremain a key impediment to inclusive development.Practical implications: The findings support prioritisation of fibre-opticbackbone expansion, 5G deployment in urban centres, and digital skillsprogrammes to unlock latent productivity gains.Originality/Value: The paper provides the first systematic regional-levelquantification of the network–growth nexus in Uzbekistan, filling an empiricalgap in Central Asian development economics.
