This article presents the requirements for the operation of the country's transport complex, the efficiency criteria of the transport complex, the passenger transportation activity in railway transport, the passenger turnover by types of transport in 2012-2022 is highlighted, and the tasks for evaluating the level of development of passenger transportation activity in railway transport are indicated.
