In this article, the zoonyms used in Alisher Navoiy’s epic poem “Sab’ai Sayyor” (Seven Planets) are classified into thematic groups and subjected to historical-etymological analysis. In the epic, zoonyms serve not only a nominative (naming) function but also act as crucial linguistic units in establishing specific semantic fields.
