The article examines the semantic features of metaphorical terms in English and Uzbek, focusing on their meanings, conceptual content, and possibilities of use. It is emphasized that metaphorical terms serve as an effective means of expressing scientific concepts accurately, concisely, and comprehensibly. The study also highlights the complex structural nature of such terms, which involves various word-formation methods, different types of syntactic constructions, and diverse forms of linguistic representation. Particular attention is paid to the figurative character of metaphorical terms, which contributes to a clearer representation of meaning, as well as to their systematic and multifunctional nature. The analysis demonstrates that metaphorical terminology functions as an efficient linguistic tool for conceptualizing and conveying specialized knowledge in different fields.
