This article is devoted to identifying the communicative-intentional orientation of political discourse and analysing the linguopragmatic features of speech acts employed within it. The main objective of the study is to identify the ways in which communicative intentions are expressed in political speech, classify the speech acts used by political actors to exert influence on the addressee, and reveal their pragmatic functions. The objectives of the study include identifying the use of representative, directive, commissive, expressive, and declarative speech acts in political discourse, analysing their relationship with communicative goals and intentions, and examining the linguopragmatic devices that ensure the persuasive and influential character of political speech
