In this article, some scientific-theoretical issues of the provision of free legal assistance by the state account are considered. The author analyzed the national legislation on providing free legal assistance and other legal categories and started a scientific discussion. In particular, the right to free legal assistance, the measures being implemented in the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the existing problems in the system were thoroughly analyzed, scientific and theoretical conclusions were drawn, and proposals were put forward.
