This scientific work examines the literature of foreign and national scientific papers on the peculiarities of the development and clinical course of coronary heart disease (CHD) in patients with coronary artery abnormalities. In most cases, the cause of coronary heart disease is an unstable atherosclerotic plaque in the coronary arteries (CA). A rare but very real cause of coronary insufficiency may be an abnormality in the development of the coronary canal. Anomalies detected in 80% of the examined patients do not lead to significant violations of coronary blood flow. However, under certain conditions, for example, the presence of pathological processes (for example, ischemic sclerosis, heart valve defect, myocardial hypertrophy, intramural CA location, myocardial bridges), an anomaly can contribute to the development of myocardial ischemia and exacerbate the course of the underlying disease.
