Annotatsiya

This article traces the implementation of Olympic ideals and the development of the Olympic movement in Uzbekistan in historical sequence. It outlines the establishment, main functions and international role of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan. Drawing on official results, it reviews the participation and achievements of Uzbek athletes at the Summer Olympic Games since independence. A historical-descriptive and comparative approach is used to distinguish the organizational features of the Soviet period from those of the independent national Olympic system. The medal analysis takes into account subsequent anti-doping decisions and official revisions of Olympic results.
