Psychological and pedagogical structure and age characteristics of primary school students’ communicative skills

Annotatsiya

The article aims to provide a theoretical and psychological interpretation of primary school students’ communicative skills, reveal their age-related dynamics, and substantiate their structural composition. The concepts of communication, interaction,communicative activity, communicative ability, communicative skill, and communicative competence are comparatively analyzed, and an authorial definition of communicative skill is proposed. The study examines the stage-by-stage characteristics of communicative development in children aged 7–11 and substantiates a five-component structure consisting of receptivecommunicative, expressive-speech, dialogic-interactive, social-cooperative, and reflectivecommunicative blocks. The findings indicate that communicative development in primary education should be assessed not only through the volume of speech but also through the integrated unity of listening, comprehension, personal expression, dialogue, cooperation, and reflection.
