Abstract. This article analyzes the pedagogical potential of Uzbek miniature art in the formation of national figurative thinking in students from a scientific and theoretical perspective. The essence of the concept of national figurative thinking, its interrelation with national culture, historical memory, aesthetic views and artistic thinking are revealed. The historical development of Uzbek miniature art, the compositional, coloristic, graphic and figurative expressive features formed in it are substantiated as important structural sources of national figurative thinking. It is scientifically proven that studying miniature art samples in the educational process allows students to develop artistic perception, aesthetic taste, figurative thinking, attitude to national values and creative abilities. Also, the pedagogical importance of integrating national miniature traditions into modern educational content and the harmonious use of traditional and digital visual media is substantiated.
