This paper examines the integration of edge computing, computational offloading, and blockchain technology, as well as analyzes existing studies in this field. First, the main characteristics of edge computing, computational offloading, and blockchain technology are reviewed. Subsequently, blockchain-based computation offloading approaches are comparatively analyzed in terms of security, trust, privacy, resource allocation, and efficiency. The analysis identifies real-world validation, operation in dynamic and heterogeneous edge environments, security assessment, and reducing the overhead introduced by blockchain technology as important directions for future research.
