The article addresses the problem of assessing texts prepared by students with the help of artificial intelligence in literature education. It argues that traditional assessment criteria lose their discriminating power when applied to such texts, and proposes a three-layer model of the object of assessment. Five criteria that make it possible to assess the student's own work are presented, together with methods for detecting typical defects in AI-generated text. The core of the approach is that the grade is awarded not for the quality of the text but for the student's critical work on it.
