This article analyzes the development of the oil and gas industry in Uzbekistan during the 1950s–1970s based on historical sources and statistical data. It highlights the industrialization policy of the post-war recovery period, geological exploration activities, the discovery of major fields such as Gazli and Muborak, the formation of the trunk gas pipeline system, and Uzbekistan's role within the fuel and energy system of the former Soviet Union.
