This article analyzes the essence of the concept of patriotism, its socio-philosophical foundations, its role in historical development, itssignificance in the upbringing of youth, and its relevance in the context of modern globalization. It also highlights the role of patriotism infostering national self-awareness, shaping civic responsibility, developing spiritual values, and ensuring state development. Furthermore,the article examines the theoretical and practical aspects of fostering patriotism based on the harmony between national and universalvalues.
