The article examines the artistic-didactic nature and the archaic-ecological origins of the concepts of "sin" and "obol," drawing on the heroic epic and minor prose genres (fairy tales, legends, and oral traditions) of Turkic peoples – specifically Karakalpak folklore. It identifies the logical model "Sin – Obol – Punishment" and the plot-construction functions that shape the structure of the epic text.
