The article examines the formation and poetics of science fiction through the motifs of the human brain, memory, and scientific experiment. Kurt Siodmak’s Donovan’s Brain and Tohir Malik’s Falak are analyzed comparatively and typologically, with particular attention to scientific hypothesis, experimental consequences, identity, historical memory, and the ethical responsibility of the scientist.
