The article examines the relationship between scientific thinking and artistic invention in science fiction. The relevance of the studyis determined by the need to define the artistic nature of science fiction through the interaction of these two components. The studyemploys comparative-typological, structural, and genre-analytical methods. It analyzes the transformation of scientific ideas intofantastic reality and the relationship between scientific hypotheses and artistic invention. The findings demonstrate that theircorrelation is an important factor in shaping the poetics of science fiction. The article also highlights the significance of “consciousconviction” in ensuring the reader’s logical and natural perception of fantastic reality.
