The paper presents expressions for the concentration of charge carriers in semiconductor nanowires. To find the concentration, the equation for the total number of particles is used. Using the Fermi-Dirac distribution function, various approximate expressions for the concentration of charge carriers in nanowires are obtained. For various temperatures, a relationship was obtained between the chemical potential and the electron concentration in nanowires. The smooth out of discrete levels with increasing temperature is explained by the temperature dependence of the thermodynamic density of states in nanowires.
