The article analyzes, from a comparative-typological perspective, the compositional and structural features of scientific abstracts written in Uzbek and English. Drawing on a corpus of abstracts collected from academic journals in both languages, and applying methods of text linguistics and genre analysis, the study examines the compositional components of abstracts (purpose, method, result, conclusion) as well as their grammatical and stylistic features (sentence structure, verb voice, metadiscourse markers).
