This article provides a scientific analysis of the impact of the livestock sector on the environment, environmental problems, andways to address them in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. Natural, economic, social, and environmental factors influencing thedevelopment of the livestock industry have been comprehensively studied. Pasture degradation in the region, the impact of the Aralcrisis on livestock farming, the problem of water resources, and the prospects for sustainable development are examined.
