Scaffolding as an instructional strategy: theoretical foundations and educational implications

Annotatsiya

This article provides a comprehensive theoretical analysis of scaffolding, synthesizes empirical findings from existing research, and discusses its pedagogical implications in contemporary educational contexts, including traditional and digital learning environments. The results of the literature analysis indicate that scaffolding enhances academic performance, promotes learner autonomy, and supports the development of metacognitive skills. The study concludes that scaffolding is a fundamental component of learner-centered instructional design.
