Annotatsiya

In the context of the ongoing socio-economic reforms in the Republic ofUzbekistan, the problem of income inequality and poverty remains relevant and requirescomprehensive analysis. The aim of this project work is to study modern trends in the field ofincome inequality and poverty, to identify the key factors of their formation, as well as to developeffective mechanisms for their reduction. The work applies methods of comparative and statisticalanalysis, a systematic approach, and elements of sociological research. The empirical base consistsof data from the State Committee on Statistics, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, andother sources. The results of the study show that despite economic growth, regional and socialdisparities in income levels persist in the country. The main causes of poverty remain limitedaccess to quality services and insufficient effectiveness of social policy. As recommendations,measures are proposed to develop entrepreneurship, improve the targeting of social support,reform the tax system, and strengthen investment in human capital and infrastructure. Theconclusions obtained can be used in the development of social policy programs.
