This article analyzes the scientific-theoretical and pedagogical significance of using maqom rhythmic patterns (usul) in solfeggio instruction based on a comprehensive approach. The study reveals the differences between the traditional solfeggio methodology grounded in the European tonal-harmonic system and the modal-monodic nature of Uzbek classical music. It substantiates the role of maqom usuls in the development of rhythmic perception, internal metric sense, modal awareness, auditory memory, and performance skills. Particular attention is given to the methodological potential of the complex interrelations between usul, iyqo‘, sequence, and stable and unstable scale degrees within maqom-based solfeggio practice. The article demonstrates that the use of maqom usuls enables the perception of rhythm not as external counting but as an internal artistic time, as well as the integrated assimilation of mode and rhythm. In addition, it examines the role of maqom usuls in developing auditory memory, forming sequential thinking, and cultivating national musical thinking. The findings indicate the necessity of improving solfeggio as a discipline through the incorporation of national musical material.
