This article discusses the features of synthesizing various musical forms and genres, the importance of enriching national musical culture, and the significance of applying an innovative approach to solving creative tasks that arise in the process of synthesis. A composer’s work in any genre requires, first of all, technological proficiency and a perfect command of the expressive means inherent to the genre in which the composer is working. Each musical genre has its own specificity, determined by its orientation toward the audience. In this regard, creating music based on the synthesis of different forms and genres presents particular challenges. At first glance, composing music in this context may seem easy, since such music should be simple and accessible to perception. However, working on the synthesis of various genres and forms requires from the composer a solid knowledge of professional composition techniques, an understanding of the aesthetic demands of the modern listener, as well as innovative approaches and solutions. Every composer, in the course of their creative activity, may encounter the idea of creating a work based on the synthesis of elements from different musical cultures — more precisely, on the “East–West” tendency.
