Background. Biochemical biomarkers are increasingly important for assessing functional recovery and predicting rehabilitation outcomes after ischemic stroke. Objective. To determine the clinical significance of LDH, CPK, and D-dimer in the assessment of functional recovery in patients with ischemic stroke. Materials and methods. The study included 120 patients with ischemic stroke. Functional status was assessed using the Fugl–Meyer Assessment, Gross Motor Function Classification System (GMFCS), and Modified Rankin Scale. Serum levels of LDH, CPK, and D-dimer were determined and statistically analyzed. Results. A negative correlation was found between LDH levels and Fugl–Meyer scores (r=-0.52), while a positive correlation was observed between D-dimer levels and Modified Rankin Scale scores (r=+0.48). Comprehensive rehabilitation resulted in greater functional improvement in the main group. Conclusion. LDH, CPK, and D-dimer are additional objective biomarkers for assessing functional recovery and predicting rehabilitation outcomes in patients with ischemic stroke.
