Annotatsiya

Damage to the kidneys and genitourinary system accounts for approximately 10–20% of all abdominalinjuries. The most common mechanism for kidney damage is blunt trauma (mainly from road accidentsand falls), while the remainder is penetrating trauma (mainly from firearms and stab wounds). With combined trauma of the urinary tract, the use of computed tomography significantly improves the quality ofdiagnostics, provides objective, detailed information about the localization, the nature of kidney damage,as well as an assessment of the state of bones, abdominal organs and pelvis. Surgical interventions on theinjured kidney can be urgent and delayed, one- and two-stage. One-stage operations are justified in caseof combined injuries of the kidney and abdominal organs, two-stage - in patients with craniocerebral andskeletal trauma.
