A rare clinical case of successful surgical treatment of a complete transverse rupture of the pancreas in a patientwith a compression fracture of the thoracic vertebrae is described. Surgical treatment consisted in resectionof the tail part of the pancreas due to crushing of the body, suturing of the remaining parenchyma of the glandand drainage of the omentum sac with the formation of an omentobursostomy for programmable revisionsand rehabilitation of the SS. The pancreatic fistula that appeared on the 15th day after the operation closedindependently by the end of the 47th day. The authors have shown that timely detection and radical treatmentof pancreatic injuries can reduce the risk of complications such as erosive bleeding, post-traumatic pancreaticnecrosis and increase the survival rate of patients with severe combined trauma.
