Currently, chemical burns of various degrees of the digestive system are a very urgent medical, social and economic problem. Severe burns of the upper gastrointestinal tract occur in 10-33% of adult patients, with a mortality rate of up to 10%. Acetic acid remains one of the most common household poisons in the CIS and the Republic of Uzbekistan. It differs from other caustic substances not only in the nature of the burn, but also in its active resorption properties, which lead to the development of hemolysis and a critical state of the organism.
