Annotatsiya

Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a widespread neurodegenerative disorder characterized by progressive development and the presence of both motor and non-motor symptoms. Secondary parkinsonism is a complication of another disease with a known etiology (such as cerebrovascular damage, trauma, tumors, hydrocephalus, medication therapy, or toxic exposure). Understanding the clinical differentiation of these pathological conditions plays a key role in making an accurate diagnosis and selecting the optimal treatment strategy. The purpose of this review article is to systematize current knowledge about the pathogenesis and clinical manifestations of Parkinson’s disease, as well as to analyze other conditions presenting with parkinsonism syndrome, including vascular, drug-induced, and atypical parkinsonism.
