Objective - The aim of this study was to improve the effectiveness of rehabilitation in patients after surgical treatment of herniated intervertebral discs of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine through the early inclusion of comprehensive rehabilitation. Materials and methods: A total of 86 patients were examined and treated at the National Center for Rehabilitation and Prosthetics of Persons with Disabilities during the period from 2022 to 2024. The patients were divided into two groups comparable in age, sex, and main clinical manifestations. Results and discussion: All patients received comprehensive medical rehabilitation, including medications, physiotherapy, and therapeutic exercise. In addition to comprehensive medical rehabilitation, patients in the main group were prescribed a course of general magnetotherapy. Against the background of conservative treatment and physiotherapy, tissue regeneration in the disc was enhanced, which contributed to the restoration of its normal shape and shock-absorbing function. Conclusions: It was found that general magnetotherapy procedures have a beneficial effect on the main clinical symptoms of the disease, regeneration processes, as well as the state of local hemodynamics in the area of surgical intervention.
