Peritonitis remains one of the most serious problems of emergency surgery. It is characterized by a high mortality rate; according to data from various authors, in the widespread forms of the disease this indicator reaches 20-40% (Ivanov et al., 2019; Smith et al., 2021). Despite the development of intensive care and the improvement of surgical techniques, the rate of complications has remained unchanged over recent decades. This confirms the necessity of searching for new preventive approaches.
