Annotatsiya

This article examines the efficacy of the IRAC (Issue, Rule, Application, Conclusion) method in enhancing thelegal writing competence of first-year law students at Tashkent State University of Law (TSUL). Over a four-week instructionalperiod, 28 students were trained to deconstruct judicial opinions and draft structured case briefs. The study employsa mixed-methods approach to measure improvements in logical coherence, rule precision, and analytical synthesis. The results indicate that the IRAC framework significantly reduces the “cognitive load” for non-native English speakers, enabling a transition from descriptive narrative to rigorous legal analysis.
