Annotatsiya

Introduction. In the modern education system, geography has a special role in developing students' scientific worldview, ecological awareness, and spatial thinking. Geography not only describes natural objects and phenomena but also explains the interaction between nature, population, and economic activities within a specific territory. Therefore, teaching geography requires the effective use of ecological and territorial processes that enable students to understand the surrounding world more deeply [3]. In Uzbekistan, improving the quality of education and introducing competency-based teaching have become priorities of the state education policy. The Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan PF–60 “On the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022–2026” emphasizes improving the quality of education, developing human capital, introducing modern teaching methods, and strengthening students' analytical and practical competencies. These strategic priorities require geography education to be organized on the basis of innovative methodological approaches that develop learners' ecological responsibility, geographical competence, and the ability to analyze real territorial processes. Literature review. Ecological and territorial processes have been widely investigated by international researchers; however, their methodological application in geography education remains an important area of scientific inquiry.
