Annotatsiya

Introduction. In the modern education system, geography is considered one of the most important subjects for understanding the relationship between nature, population and economy. Geography teaches students to think spatially, compare regions, analyze territorial processes and understand the causes of socio-economic differences [3]. Therefore, geography education should be based not only on theoretical knowledge, but also on practical analysis of real indicators. Economic and social indicators play a significant role in teaching geography. These indicators reflect the level of development of countries, regions, cities and rural areas. They also help students understand why some territories develop faster than others, why population is distributed unevenly, why industries are concentrated in certain regions, and why social infrastructure differs from place to place [13]. In Uzbekistan, improving the quality of education and introducing competency-based learning have become strategic priorities of the national education system. The Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF–60 “On the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022–2026” emphasizes the modernization of the educational process, the introduction of innovative pedagogical technologies, and the development of students' analytical, practical, and creative competencies.
